After awhile I was able to work larger again – similar to what I was doing before the pandemic hit. Creative Play! First I started working with small scrap prints and painting them with acrylic. Finally I started printing them intaglio with relief, stencils, in many colors, with multiple layers, and in different directions. Next I started printing experiments, first in black and white, then black and red, then multicolor. I cut them into seven smaller plates of various sizes and began reworking them. There were two large plates, one for black ink, the other for color. The intaglio image was of a life drawing model dressed as a geisha.

To break the mania and try to start making art again, I decided to chop up some old intaglio plates from college (1974). At the start of the pandemic lockdown, I became manic, jumping from room to room, project to project, without the ability to focus or complete anything.
